As a member of the 50+ Housing Council, Linda specializes in Active Adult Communities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities. After 34 years in the Interior Design business, this experience aided in launching a new division of her company, Moving On With Designs For You, which helps clients and their families make the transition to downsizing, assisted living or other home arrangements while maintaining the dignity and independence of her clients.
Moving and downsizing can be overwhelming and frustrating. I saw the need, firsthand, when I moved my mother into an Independent Living Community. I helped her decide what to keep and what to trash. I showed her a floor plan to see what furniture would fit in her new apartment. I executed an estate sale to dispose of what could not be moved. Then I proceeded to get her house ready for market by having painting and repairs completed, then staging it for sale. To help her feel comfortable in her new residence we ordered a few new pieces of furniture, then purchased new bedding and had window treatments made.
